Overlooking Llyn Padarn and Llanberis, our Hostel got loads of adventures waiting at the doorstep. The easiest way to get to us is by car. Our car park can accommodate 14 cars in total. We do have a bus stop right outside the front door and it just takes a little bit of planning if you are travelling by public transport.
Just 5 miles from Dinorwig, Llanberis is easily reached by car. If you want to stretch your legs, it takes about 45min through the beautiful oak woods of Dinorwig, past the old Slate Quarry. You might run into some Dinorwig Wild Goats if you are lucky!
Depending which path you want to take up Snowdon, all paths start within short driving distance from the Hostel. If you pick Llanberis to start your adventure, to either catch a Sherpa Bus or start the Llanberis Path it takes about 10min to drive to the car parks in the village.
Pen-Y-Pass car park is 10miles but we usually don’t recommend trying to drive there because the car park fills up very quickly. It can be full even at 4am! Plan your trip ahead and take the Sherpa Bus from Llanberis and you don’t need to worry about parking.
If you fancy venturing up the Watkins Path or Rhyd-Ddu Path it’s about a 45min drive.
Penrhyn Quarry and Velocity is over the next valley in Bethesda and it takes about 15min to drive over. If you have booked Bounce Below or Titan in the Slate Caverns, you should plan about an hour to drive there.
